Rooms: The bedrooms are medium in size and fairly basic but in good condition, and the majority of bedrooms are with shower only, although the bedrooms located on the lower ground floor all have bathrooms and tend to be slightly larger than the other rooms. The exterior is traditional and fairly grand. The medium sized lobby is fairly modern with marble floor and a wood reception desk. This leads to a lounge area which has recently been renovated to create a more modern and up-to-date atmosphere with modern leather seating, modern lighting and a bar area offering drinks and light snacks throughout the day. This renovation has created a very warm and welcoming lobby area. All rooms are in good condition, decorated in contemporary color schemes and well equipped. The bathrooms are in good condition. The hotel bar is located next to the reception and offers plenty of seating both in a bright and airy and, at the same time, cozy ambiance. It has a traditional exterior. The lobby was also completely renovated in 2005 with stripped wood floor and a modern reception area with a large abstract painting adorning the wall which completes the minimalist but very attractive look. There is ample seating and most of the artifacts are unique and of a nature theme. This four star individually designed hotel offers an excellent central Amsterdam location on a quiet street.
