Krakow Salt Mine Tour

Everyone in Poland knows about salt vapour's effect on the human body especially after a long and exhausting night out. Recommended for heavy smokers or hungover party animals, the salt mine's air has an incredible headache healing effect. And it's a lot of fun, too.

The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka is the only mining site in the world functioning continuously since the Middle Ages. Lying on nine levels, its original excavations (longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes, shafts, sculptures and even a whole cathedral - all made of salt!!!) stretch for the total of over 300 kilometres, reaching the depth of 327 metres. It's a must when in Krakow.
