2005 Each year 12 000 -13 000 children are born in Estonia, of which 3-4% have an inborn anomaly of bloodvessels. Tumors can gravely distort the child's appearance and may in the most difficult cases, be lethal. One of the most effective method for dealing with this illness is using lasers. As the the laser device that is being used at the moment has become obsolete (it was granted as humanitarian aid in 1992) there is an urgent need for a new laser in order to be able to properly keep treating the children. 2004 Tallinna Lastekodu We were pleased to donate 24000 EEK to Tallinna Lastekodu, a charity for children who are orphans or/and handicapped. They have 7 sub-organizations in different parts of the city, specialized on the smaller areas of the city and handicapped children. More details of the charity are available on their website. |
