Bright and early on the morning of the activity, a jeep will pick you up and kick off your expedition into Romania’s rugged wilderness. You’ll start with an off-road adventure led by a professional driver, powering through dense woodland to reach the trailhead. After arriving and getting organised, you’ll begin the trek with a local guide, hiking up a peak rising 1,772 metres high. It’s a true journey into the country’s remote rural areas, an experience few other stag parties ever get to have.

What to Expect

The trip from Bucharest to the mountainous area takes roughly 2 and a half hours, so we recommend starting early to allow time to get there. When you arrive, you'll switch into an off-road jeep for the journey through the forest, which will last around 1 and a half hours.

While the mountain you'll be hiking is 1772 metres high, you'll have already gained a lot of elevation with the drive, so the hike only takes around an hour to complete. We also offer the option to have a BBQ at the top for an extra fee. This will include food for everyone, 2 beers per person, as well as some palinka shots to celebrate.

After the hiking part of the trip, you'll need to take the off-road car back to the starting point (an hour-and-a-half journey) before heading back to Bucharest.

What You Should Know Before Booking This Activity

• All group members will need to have a decent level of fitness for hiking.
• Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen for protection.
• Comfortable footwear is advised.

Between all the hiking and sitting in the back of a jeep all day, you'll be very hungry by the time you get back to Bucharest. You'll need much more than a little feed, so book in for a traditional Romanian dinner with sharing platters, main courses, and beers!
