Wine Hike in Munich

Who doesn't love the great outdoors, especially when there's wine involved? Lace up your boots and get ready to drink some vino on our wine hike in Munich. Explore the German countryside while learning about the region's fascinating wine-making industry, and playing some fun games throughout. You set the pace, take as many breaks as you like and drink all the wine you can handle!

What to Expect

Before the hike, we'll send over all the equipment you need in the post, including a cooler backpack that can hold all of the wines when hiking. You'll be able to keep this as a little souvenir, so you don't have to worry about giving it back to us.

Inside the rucksack will also be the 4 bottles of wine, 7 disposable wine glasses and a shoulder bag, so you don't have to hold the glasses while you're moving between stops. If you don't want to use these, you can bring your own instead.

The hike itself is around 5 to 6km, which takes roughly 210 minutes to complete with the stops included. Ahead of the activity date, we'll send you details with the mobile application to download, so you can follow the wine stations on the hiking route. Every time you stop at a wine station, you'll have to watch a video with a sommelier and a winemaker who will discuss each of the wines.

Since you'll be out in the countryside getting fully off the beaten path away from Munich's typical tourist sites, we advise you to wear strong, comfy footwear that can handle rugged terrain like vineyards, meadows, forests and rivers. It's also important to bring some water and food, as it will be a long day.
