What to Expect

On the day of your cruise, you’ll need to make your way to the dock at Zaanse Schans, which is around a 25-minute drive from Amsterdam. You can either travel there by public transport, or Pissup can arrange a return transfer for your group for an additional fee if you’d prefer. This will be your pick-up and drop-off location, so just keep that in mind when planning your day.

As you board the boat, your guide and captain will introduce themselves before you set off down the waterways in search of the windmills that have made this region so famous. During the cruise, your guide will share fascinating stories and give you plenty of information on their history, while you lot soak up the sights.

Spending 90 minutes on a boat is certainly enough time to work up an appetite, so we’ll make sure you’re well-fed throughout the trip. You’ll be treated to a mix of sandwiches with meat, fish, and vegetarian options to suit all tastes, along with fresh salads, seasonal fruit, and fruit juice. Best of all, you’ll get to enjoy unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks throughout the cruise, so you're fully fuelled and ready to continue the celebrations back in Amsterdam.

Once the 90-minute cruise comes to an end, the boat will return to the same point where you departed, bringing your experience in this beautiful corner of the Netherlands to a close.
