What To Expect

The ice bar is located along the beach promenade near the Parc de la Ciutadella. Depending on where your hotel is, you'll be able to either walk or take a form of public transport.

Upon arrival, the bar's team will give each of you warm clothes like jackets and gloves, so you don't freeze to death.

Inside the ice bar is an impressive display, to say the least. It's decorated with all sorts of sculptures that internationally renowned sculptors have made. All of the furniture is made from ice. It's interesting to see, regardless if you're having a drink or not.

Because the temperatures are so low, the bar is quite limited in what they can serve. There's a small cocktail menu that has a couple of options, beers, and juices. You need to drink up fast as the drinks can freeze and could potentially explode.

Unless the ice bar's staff says otherwise, your group can stay inside for 45 minutes. If you stay longer than that, the cold will really start to affect you.
